The full package
From the initial enquiry to post-stay cleaning and everything in-between, we have you covered. We handle all enquiries and bookings, market your property on our website and social media channels, and provide cleaning services post-guests. Simply put, we take care of it all, allowing you to sit back and relax.
No minimum letting period
Your property is your sanctuary, and we respect that. Unlike many other holiday let agencies, we do not impose a minimum letting period or require your property to be available for specific dates. It is your property, and you should be able to enjoy it whenever you want. While we can offer advice on availability, the ultimate decision rests with you.
Booking and marketing
We will advertise and market your property via our own and associated websites alongside using social media to showcase your property to as wide an audience as possible. We will handle all correspondence, from enquiries to your appointed cleaner/service providers.

We understand that letting your holiday home must be cost effective. We pride ourselves on offering an attractive commission rate structure that includes a one-off setup fee and a straightforward commission rate.

Our one-off setup fee is just £349 per property and our simple commission structure is a low flat rate of 13% + VAT per booking.

When you let your home for the first time, it can be such an exciting, but also a daunting time. Remember, we are here to guide you through your letting journey! Here are some of our most common questions, and if you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, please do not hesitate to get in touch and we will be happy to help.
Of course, you can! Your property is your sanctuary, and we respect that. Unlike many other holiday letting agencies, we do not impose a minimum letting period or require your property to be available for specific dates, we do however expect to be able to let it as often as possible throughout the most popular seasons. It is your property, and you should be able to enjoy it whenever, and how often you want. Whilst we can offer advice on maximising the availability, the ultimate decision rests with you.
We understand that this can be quite worrying for owners and It is important to understand that wear and tear does happen, especially if you have had a busy summer season, with what we hope is large occupancy levels. Most guests will be respectful of your holiday home and for the most part, we take a sensible holding deposit which will help cover damages in case of an accident. We strongly advise that you take out the appropriate insurance to cover as well.
In the rare event that your property does get damaged, we will come out, inspect and deal with the situation and ensure that any damages are communicated with the guests and yourselves.
We have noticed a growing demand for pet-friendly properties following a surge in pet ownership during the lockdown with 43% of the UK now owning a dog. Families are choosing to stay in the UK for their holidays and bringing their dogs with them.
Although very rare, occasionally dogs may create some minor damage. We have implemented a few rules to help minimise this:
- No dogs on sofas, beds or furniture.
- £25 additional cost per dog.
- No dogs should be left unattended in the property.
- It is their responsibility to clean up any mess.
With the Southwest Coastal Path on our doorstep, along with dog-friendly beaches, eateries, picturesque towns and vast fields, it really is the perfect place for guests to bring their four legged friend!
A welcome pack is an added extra and is always a nice touch for your guests to receive on arrival, especially as some of your guests may have travelled hours to visit. Even if you simply provide coffee, tea bags and milk, it will be much appreciated after a long journey! We can provide a selection of welcome packs on your behalf at an additional charge.
If you want to get even more creative, you can add fresh flowers, local cheese/cakes/jams and other household items. First impressions count and can often lead to positive first impressions as well as the all-important feedback/reviews.
We provide two packages for our owners and if you decide to take our full property management option, we will coordinate bookings, marketing, cleaning, laundry and management services so, whether you need us to change a light bulb or fix a broken chair, we will be there to help.
If a guest arrives at your property and has no hot water or the Wi-Fi isn’t working, don’t worry! If you choose our full property management option, our team will handle it without the need to contact you. Our dedicated team are on hand to help with any issues, giving you peace of mind that everything is covered and keeping you always updated.
At Your Devon Escape we deliberately keep all our fees and costs transparent and easy to make sense of. We also understand that letting your holiday home must be cost effective to make it worth doing in the first place, which is why our set up fee of £349 + VAT is just a one-off payment, and our commission is set an attractive and appealing rate of 13% + VAT. If you chose our Full Property Managed option, additional monthly charges will apply. We DO NOT charge you for cleaning or laundry, this is all offset against the booking and is paid for by the guest, giving you, the owner, the opportunity to maximise on the ever-popular short breaks and earn the extra income from your property all year round.
A resounding YES!, Statistics show that the average length of stay in the South West is currently running at 3.6 days demonstrating that short breaks is the way forward and that they are becoming increasingly popular amongst visitors. As we charge cleaning and linen direct to the guests, making short breaks more appealing and viable for owners as it provides maximum flexibility with their property, at no extra cost to them. Offering short breaks puts your property in front of a wider audience allowing more bookings, and ultimately, more income.
In the unfortunate situation that we received a bad review we will respond publicly to assure any future readers have a full understanding of whatever the issue was (it can be one-sided if not responded to). Responding also ensures that any feedback has been taken on board and that their suggestions or comments are being actioned.
Opening the calendar as far ahead as possible allows visitors to plan and secure the dates they wish. We advise that a minimum of 12-18 months ahead works well and allows you to book our periods for your own use, freeing them up as required.
Yes, each property has its own dedicated Property Manager who will monitor occupancy levels and advise you on where a special offer of some sort might help to entice a guest to either fill a short break or help bolster a low period. Nightly rates can also be adjusted so it’s not just reliant on special offers to entice a booking.
