This was a magical short break for our extended family. A beautiful house set in magnificent grounds which the photos really don’t do justice. The five children in our group all loved discovering the hidden garden and the pathways surrounding the property. All rooms were tastefully decorated, large and many, especially the big conservatory, with its wide opening doors, have superb views of the South Hams hillsides. …

Ideal accommodation for music festival. Central location but away from street noise. Bunk room is rather small but beautifully formed. I stayed alone this visit but room have shared with a friend in the past during a biking tour. It was a lovely place to lay our heads. “This is a characterful, quaint studio apartment, at the very top of a house right in the heart of Dartmouth, above a bustling and delicious café. The views across the estuary are unrivalled. The furnishings are characterful, the kitchen basic but does the job for a simple meal and ideal for a sunset drink and nibbles on the little balcony which is in the best possible place”.

We’ve visited this property several times. The view from the roof terrace is wonderful especially if the weather is good. The living and bedroom accommodation is comfortable. The house is very close to the town with all it’s lovely restaurants and shops. Definitely recommend this property.

“Alf’s Rooms are simply fantastic. We stayed in the two B&B rooms and the studio flat. The kids loved the bunk beds. We had a wonderful bedroom. My mum stayed in the studio flat and it has great decor and a cool nautical theme. The view from the balcony is gorgeous. Over Dartmouth, the river and you can see the sea.
You pop downstairs for the best breakfast in Dartmouth. Amazing service from all staff.”

Place was lovely and clean, instructions from Paul were easy to enter and leave property On a quiet road about 15 minute walk from the town, going in is easy as its downhill back is a bit harder as it eventually becomes quite steep.
