Indoor Activities to Enjoy This Winter in Bigbury-On-Sea

The winter months bring colder weather and (unfortunately) more rainy days in Devon. So, why not spend some time indoors! There are so many excellent indoor activities in the Bigbury-On-Sea area for you to try.

A take a short trip into the wonderful town of Kingsbridge. Visit the King’s Cinema to enjoy an afternoon at an old-fashioned ‘pictures’ or check out Quayside Leisure Centre for a swim, a game of squash or an afternoon of play at the soft play area.

Visit the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth! It is the UK’s largest aquarium and part of the Ocean Conservation Trust, a charity dedicated to connecting people with the ocean.  It hosts a range of exciting exhibits and activities.  Stroke a sting ray or simply sit back and watch the fish.  They hold events throughout the year including beach explores and clean ups, and marine snorkelling.  Check out their website to get involved throughout the winter months.  To complete the day out, venture across to Rockfish. Saltram overlooks the River Plym, giving you stunning views of both water and countryside.  Set in a rolling landscape park, it provides lots of green spaces for the children to run around or you to enjoy a picnic.  It consists of a stunning country house with original content for you to wander around and admire.
