Kents Cavern

Paignton Zoo
A fun-filled, educational day for all the family. Part of a worldwide network of zoos who care for and breeds rare species. Pay them a visit to learn about animals from all over the world. From feeding times and soft play, to outdoor parks and train rides, there is truly something for all the family. Accessible for buggies and wheelchair users. Open every day of the year (except Christmas Day).
Pennywell Farm
Open seven days a week from February to October, Pennywell Farm offers rides, animal cuddles, egg collecting and more. With events happening every half an hour throughout the day, learn all you need to know about the world of farming in an interactive, activity-orientated way. Accessible for buggies and wheelchairs, take the trip and experience a different way of Devon living.
National Marine Aquarium
This is the UK’s largest aquarium. It is part of the Ocean Conservation Trust, a charity dedicated to connecting people with the ocean. It hosts a range of exciting exhibits and activities. Stroke a sting ray or simply just sit back and watch the fish. They hold events throughout the year including beach explorations or clean ups, and marine snorkelling. Check out their website to get involved. To complete the day out, venture across to Rockfish, located a two-minute walk away, to try some locally sourced, sustainable fish and chips.
South Devon Railway
Running along the River Dart between Buckfastleigh and Totnes, this train ride can take you to other South Devon attractions such as the Otter Sanctuary. Holding events throughout the year, this is a unique experience to consider whilst on Your Devon Escape. Open March to October.
Splashdown Quaywest
Open from April to October, it offers the whole family wet and wonderful fun. Tumble on tyres and twist through tubes, there is something for everyone to enjoy. For those wanting to sit and relax, lay in the sun whilst the rest of the family enjoy the adventure. An essential for a sunny, staycation day.
Totnes Rare Breeds Farm
On of the smaller family run South Devon attractions set in beautiful surroundings beside the steam railway. An interactive and educational experience for both adults and children. Wheelchair and pram friendly, explore in rain or shine. Open March to October.
Woodlands Leisure Park
Being the largest theme park in Devon, it is packed with fun for all the family. It holds the largest indoor play areas in the South West, alongside water slides and a zoo farm. There is endless fun on offer. Events are held throughout the year including a Santa’s Grotto, and special visitors including Peppa Pig. Have a look online at what’s on this year.
