There is a whole day of the festival dedicated to children, with events and activities to get kids excited about cooking. The festival is all about showcasing the best of the South West. England’s Seafood Festival in the English Riviera
A feast for all senses in the English Riviera. Immerse yourself in some of the best seafood in the world. This isn’t a conventional festival with a big marquee, instead, you can enjoy a whole range of locally landed and caught fish and seafood at thirty different eateries across Brixham, Paignton and Torquay. Family Fun Weekend at South Devon Railway

Hennock Barn Dance
At Beechleigh Farm in Hennock, near Bovey Tracey, enjoy a family-friendly barn dance. There will be a renowned ceilidh band to bring you the tunes for an evening of authentic farm entertainment in aid of the village school. With a bar and a BBQ to keep you refreshed and energised for all the dancing, plus a grand draw, this is an October event to not miss.
Powderham Food Festival
With over a decade of showcasing the region’s best food and drink producers, Powderham Castle is returning for another exciting year. Set in the grounds of the Castle, this award-winning food festival is free for all. Experience delicacies from some of the region’s best food and drink producers as well as demonstrations, fun children’s activities and foodie competitions. Come and see the best of the South West! Salcombe Field of Light
See artist Bruce Munro’s Field of Light in Salcombe Harbour this winter. The installation has been exhibited all over the world and is coming to Devon to mark the 200th anniversary of the RNLI. The Field of Light spans 35,000 square metres of steep Devon hillside opposite Salcombe town, on the edge of the estuary. It features an array of 20,000 lowlight, fibre-optic stemmed lights that will illuminate with a slow, subtle change of hue. This magical sight is one not to miss this winter.
